The winner for first place is [info]jael_beruthiel with her excellent AU fiction Not Fade Away. She also took the second place with King Stag and tied in third place with [info]ignoblebard and his hilarious fiction A Boy and his Lob [info]esteliel with Cuil Eden and elfscribe with Elegy for Númenor. First place will receive a pastel drawing on the 25th of December of a scene of her choosing (easier that way) or a character. The second and third place will receive their Poser Renderings by January 6th (the day of the Kings). To make it easier and to be fair, I have awarded the places to those with the most number of votes regardless of what category they fell into, and you'll see why that makes sense:
Now, here is the little surprise I had in store for all the stories nominated: In essence, this contest is a contract between you, the people that nominated the stories and the authors of the stories, and me, the pretentious artist
, to produce artwork for all of them throughout the year (I will try my best to produce original works for all of them, although not all of them will be great as I am merely a hobbyist, but all will receive Poser Renderings). The rewarded stories having their artwork produced by the dates previously established and of course, the little banner saying "Winner of Olorimë's Little Christmas contest."
and bragging rights.
Will I be doing the same next year? Yeah, probably but I will probably put a limit to the stories nominated by author (3) and the number of nominations per person (3). Also, the number of nominations will be fixed (30), so the first 30 stories nominated will enter the contest. This numbers will change given that I get more artists to volunteer their efforts throughout the year.
Congratulations to those that won and thank you all of you that participated!!!
I will be sending email notifications and the banners and LJ gif icons to the winners and the rest of the authors nominated by end of business today (so... it could be tomorrow morning.. LOL!).
