I have the foolish but persistent idea to include them on a somewhat larger scale in one of my WIPs. It would be nice if there were some hints about what I could name them without just coming up with entirely random sounds, as well as coming up with original terms for some of their rituals.
The only words in their language mentioned are the names Ghan-Buri-Ghan and the way they call themselves - the Drughu. And that their leader had a guttural, somewhat halting way of speaking (but of course the latter could be attributed to his not speaking his native language at that point). So basically, there is no language.
What I would like to know is which existing language those names could fit into? If there is any, I would like to use that with a few adjustments here and there.

Eeeps! I am terrible at that! But there are people here who are very good at ferreting out connections between sounds and languages and making names. Russandol used Nahuatl (the Aztec language) in parts if her novel, although the location was pretty far removed from any familiar part of Middle-earth and did not have to match an existing language that I know of. Until Darth made his Pixellated Fëanor I tried to write as much as possible using only canon characters to avoid having to name original characters. And I was only looking for names in Sindarin and Quenya. I am the worst, laziest and most cowardly! Check this out. It is terribly short, but might contain something useful: www.sindanoorie.net/art/Drughu.pdf

Thanks! That's immensely helpful already. At least there are more than two words to work with now.
