Is there a canon reference about the year the Feanorians removed to East Beleriand? I know it's soon after Angrod's return from Doriath with Thingol's permission to settle Dorthonion and the East, and following the council featuring Caranthir's 'yea more' spat, but haven't been able to turn up a year, except the nebulous 'earlier than 20'.
The Later Quenta Silmarillion puts it anywhere between YS 1-50, which is not helpful even for a general estimate, the Silmarillion Timeline and Wikipedia have it at YS 7, Tolkien Gateway at YS 6, but none of them offer a source to double-check. Help?
