Did he have one? Did he and Elendil carry the white tree and seven stars? I used this as a necessary detail in my WIP and need to know.

I don't think one's explicitly mentioned for him - but I don't think it says anywhere that he didn't have one, either.
He and Anarion were supposed to be co-kings of Gondor prior to Elendil's death, so it'd sort of make sense for each of them to have had his own banner. Perhaps the Tree and Stars quartered with some sort of representation of the moon (since his capitol was Minas Ithil and his name references the moon, etc).Just throwing it out there.

I obviously don't have time to read the entire corpus looking for mentions of the banner. I did take a quick look at Aragorn's arrival at the Pelennor and Tolkien spoke of the white tree banner that had been seldom seen since the days of Elendil. 'Seldom'.
I just need this young character of mine to blurt out a sketchy description of the group of men being attacked -- which will provoke Thranduil's 'Shit, it's Isildur!' remark. And that might include a banner. Because, after all, Isildur was king of the north and he was returning home when he met his fate.

"which will provoke Thranduil's 'Shit, it's Isildur!' remark" -- well, you don't have to describe it necessarily to indicate that it they recognize it.
