I had some doubts regarding Quenya. Could anyone please help me with them?
1. 'Hórëa' - means impulsive in Quenya? If so, how do I make a male name out of it? Would 'one who is impulsive' be 'Hóron' or 'Hórion' or something else altogether??
2. Telperion, I always thought the male Tree was called. But recently someone told me that the Quenya name is 'Tyelperion'.
3. Would Fingolfin be Aracáno or Arakáno?
4. Can I call Finwë as Finwë Noldóran?
5. What is the easiest way to write 'my brother' ? 'onóro' is brother. How do I get it as 'my brother'?
Well, I suck at this. I need help though. *makes hopeful eyes at anyone who passes by*

Technically speaking, the Noldorin Quenya variant of this name is Tyelperion. But only the worst kind of pedant would ever use that. Stick with Telperion. Either/or. Depends on which spelling you prefer. Yes, but remember that Noldóran isn't a name, but a title. It means King of the Noldor. Onóronya.

Thank you, Darth. I had been on sickleave here. Sorry that I am kissing your lizardly belly so late. I think I might try my hand at being a pendant and go with Tyelperion? ;D How is your AinA going? *very curious*

I'll just continue from this thread because I don't want to clutter the language boards with identical threads.
Darth, I remember you saying there are differences between Vanyarin Quenya and Noldorin Quenya. Is this name Elenner, from the Q name gen, acceptable for a Vanyarin Elf? If not, how do I make it acceptable?
