I'm not sure whether this should go in Canon or Languages, but I need to do the research for an upcoming story in the queue.
I need names, one or two female and around three male, for OC Woodmen living on the western side of the Greenwood in the first years of the Third Age. Perhaps the question is more canon/ethnic than language.
So far I've given the Woodmen on the eastern borders in later times quasi-Scandinavian names like Wulf and Sigrid. However, I recall that the progenitors of the Rohirrim originated on the Anduin plains. Would that mean the Men on that side of the woods would have those Old English type names instead? If so, are there any good sites for Anglo-Saxon names?

Bumping this thread.
I need a name for an elf-bred horse. She's red, a chestnut. The ideal would be a Sindarin translation for 'Ginger' since I'm engaging in a horrendous act of nepotism. But anything to do with the color red would work as well.
I would use the name generator, but . . . she's a horse. I'm not sure that elves would give their horse high-faluting names like they'd give their daughters.
