I need to know what the proper term would be for what are best known as "Grace and Favour" apartments, such as the ones at Hampton Court Place. It can be in either Quenya or Sindarin.

Can you give a little more information about what you need? Maybe the context in which the word appears, the geographical location, who uses it? Background story? These elements affect which language and which exact words are used, and I don't want to give you something incorrect or situationally nonsensical.

It's somewhat complicated but I'll try to simplify.
When Oropher first settled in Greenwood the Great, he built a fortress to keep his family and the other families with young children safe. As the building of what would become Thranduil's underground halls continued, the original fortress was subdivided into more traditional rooms (suites).
If that is still unclear, let me know and I'll try to explain it better.

There's only one wee problem with that -- Oropher originally settled on Amon Lanc at the south end of the forest. He moved his people north several times before he died in the war of the Last Alliance. A thousand years after Oropher's death, Thranduil finally moved his people north one last time, to the caverns. The original fortress is long gone, and Dol Guldur is built in its place.
I'm given to understand that they had a palace/fortress built at each stage, and that the nobles would have had suites in each. Darth would know best what to call a noble's apartments in the King's palace.

Darth would know best what to call a noble's apartments in the King's palace. In all honesty, having looked into this, I'd just use English words. The language used would have to be Sindarin (barring some very fancy 'splaining on the part of the author), and there's no useful Sindarin vocabulary for this situation. If writing such a thing myself, I'd go for English over Elvish.

To jael: I'm afraid that I did make my explanation a bit too brief -- sorry about that. I should have worded it as "after Oropher left Amon Lanc...". Sorry about that. So, anyway, after he left... since it is slightly AU, I have Oropher establishing an above-ground base for what will later become Thranduil's underground halls prior to the Last Alliance. [I've lived in a lot of places while they were being remodeled -- which leads me to believe that no-one would even try living when serious mining and stone work was being done. So there would be various outdoor residences, and not just talans either.]
To Darth Fingon: Thank you for all of your help. I rather doubted if there would be such a phrase but I wanted to be certain I wasn't overlooking something obvious. Now I can simply go on with the story. Thank you again.
