So, I used Darth Fingon's spectacular name generator to help me with this, but I want to make sure that these names are sound before committing to them.
Soronúmë means "eagle of the west" in Quenya. I'm proposing that the Sindarin equivilant is Thorodun. Does this translation work? Could it be better?
Now, I wanted to make the name "swan lady" in both Quenya and Sindarin. I came up with Alphiril (S) and Alquinyë (Q). These two I am pretty satisfied with, but I want to make sure they look good before using them.
Thanks in advance for the help!

It depends on what you're looking for in the translation. Just the meaning, or would you like the words to be etymologically related as well? "Eagle of the West" should be Thorondun according to DF's Sindarin generator, you're missing an n there. Alphiril is correct, and sounds lovely to boot (which is always important). If you want the exact Quenya form of it, use Alquaheri. If you would rather keep yours, which is also fine, I'd suggest a slight alteration - maybe make it Alquinya for your Q swan lady, simply because "inyë" already has a meaning - (female) grandchild - and "inya" already is female lexically, so no need to tack on a female suffix to clarify that. If you want the exact Sindarin equivalent for Alquinya, that would be Alphinu, I believe. Of course, mixing and matching also works, the respective characters might just decide that a different Sindarin form with the same meaning is more suited to their lámatyáve.

I'm on the fence in deciding if I need a direct translation. Since these are names for the stars, I think I can explain a variation. I like the sound of Alquinya, so if it's ok, I'd like to use it!
