I opened my email this morning and ZOMG
Also a honourable mention for A Part in Great Deeds.
I never would have thought. Flabbergasted is the correct word here, I believe. Enormous thanks to all who read and reviewed my stories!
(also, hi, everyone! Work has kept me busy enough not only to stack up enough overtime to have a nice long holiday next summer but I've been forced to put the fandom on a shelf for a while.)

Darth is a bad influence, but in a good way. lol Is he the same guy who has just made me write something I had decided not to write? If it is any consolation, IB, I had to go in search of Unfinished Tales to look up the names of the Queen and who was related to whom. Darth the Instigator gave me the prompt for "No Justice to Yourself," which I would never have written on my own steam. I have a written at least three other stories at his prompting (usually unsolicited!).

Congratulations a million times over, sanna, but even more thrilling is to see you! I've been wondering where you were and missing you, too! Work work workity work, and when not working feeling like a zombie. The whole autumn went past so quickly that if I didn't know better I'd say I've accidentally fallen into a time machine. But the worst is over and I'll have time for the important stuff soon again Russandol: Hello, and thanks! Congrats all round for the rightly deserved awards!

From MEFA10 stats: Holy freakin' moly. I don't know about the second statistic, but the first and the third? Those are for Flame of the Desert! Who knew that drug-fueled elven road trips were such a popular genre? Flame of the Desert was a really standout story!! I can see why it warranted so many reviews and so many words. I wrote a long review and could have gone on and on. Be serious though: drug-fueled elven road trips is a perfect genre. Who could not get excited about that? And that one sort of combined the flavor of Lawrence of Arabia with Dude Who Stole My Car! Not to mention characters whose deeds are known to afficianados of every Age of Arda. It's a case study in generalized appeal. OK. Gotta admit, it might be a little much for the early-Fourth-Age happily-married-in-Gondor crowd or the rigid canon pharisee, but everyone else would have to love it.

Sanna Good to see you online again! Well, I haven't gotten my email yet, but I sneaked a peak at the winners list. I was happy to find my name there a few times!
The Song of A Friend took honorable mention under both Steel and Aearwen (I'm proud to be known by the company I keep)
Dance in the Moonlight was my other honorable mention. Forgotten Song placed third (nodding to Aearwen), Tale from the Winterland was third and, most gratifying, Another Road came in third.
I was so happy to see so many lizards in the line up, not to mention so many other familiar faces. I've already picked out some stories I need to read.
Congratulations, lizards! Gee, what a great contest! Ky

So glad that everyone here had wins and honorable mentions! What a great thing for our gang! <applauds> I KNEW there were several stories I hadn't had reviewed yet, and Flame of the Desert was one. <smacking self upside of head> I absolutely LOVED it! There were parts that had me choking to death I was laughing so hard (very quietly too so that others in the house wouldn't think I am insane - they really don't get it - AT. ALL.) Hugs and Love, Vanime PS Has anyone started their lists of stories to recommend/review for next year??? How does one even BEGIN to keep track between all the years til next as to what's been done etc.? Any ideas would be great!
