Congrats on your wins Oshun. I posted right after I got my email last night, I must have been one of the first notified. You had some good work up this year, your wins are well deserved. Thanks Russandol. I really appreciate the reviews you gave me too. I'm surprised By the Book did as well as it did. It was basically a parody of a story no one else had read. lol Kinslayer was a hoot. I love seeing Namo in compromising situations. Congrats on your wins too, Pande. I'm so glad Flame of the Desert won. I love that story, even though I didn't read it until the awards this year. I never read all the stories I plan to, but I did much better at reviewing this time. At least I think I did. Most of the time I wait until the last minute but I started early this year. And yet I was still scrambling at the last minute. I really appreciate your review of A Dangerous Hunger, Pande, and everyone who reviewed that story. I was hoping it would do well and it did!

Congratulations to all my friends and fellow Lizards for your incredible stories and MEFA awards. I only wish I had been able to find the time to review more. It was my first year participating and I promise that next year I will start earlier and schedule my time better (at least I will do my best).

You had some awesome competition this year. I have to admit, since I usually complain that I got kind of lucky in a couple of my placements--which weren't as hard fought as some of my previous wins have been. But I did have to struggle for that 2nd for Celebrimbor. As I've said other places, I really can't complain this year!Forward to next year. Somewhat OOT: how's your Yuletide entry going--I have some 600+ words--without plot or point. I am so scared and embarrassed to make a fool of myself in front of a whole bunch of good writers who don't even know me! Oh, Baby Jesus! What's wrong with me?

*hedges* Well... um... about the same as you.
Would you be available to beta it if I can get it to you tonight? It's not going to be very long.

::standing under Erulisse's rain of confetti grinning:: I love confetti!
Congrats everyone! I never did figure out how to work the MEFA system, so didn't contribute at all this year, but I'm delighted for the winners. ;D

Forget doing one of your 10,000-word wonders, baby! Keep it sweet and simple. Try me around 8 or 9 east coast time. Oh, also, keep in mind that you can still tweak it on that site after submitting.

I'll have to learn to live with that. A great big thank you to those who nominated and reviewed my stories. Many of the reviews were very insightful and I will cherish them for years to come.

That was you who wrote the Aragorn Nigthmare piece!! Aha! Well, Mike and Russandol may forgive you for beating them, but I am not sure I can. My Celebrimbor essay which took second to your Aragorn Nightmare was my favorite of all of those character biographies I have ever written. Just kidding! I'm not a sore loser! (OK, I try to be straight here: sort of just kidding! I'm hoping time will heal the wound!) Seriously. Congratulations! Great showing.

Oshun, your essay was very well researched and presented. Mine, I suspect, attracted more attention because there is a certain "sex-appeal" to the theme and even the title.

... yes, I was the evil person who beat both Mike and Russandol. I'll have to learn to live with that. Aha! Well, Mike and Russandol may forgive you for beating them, but I am not sure I can. Mmm, I'm not sure either... Do I really have to? Námo is fuming, after all his embarrassment he did not bag a complete victory. Oh, well, let him growl. I feel generous today, so yes, no hard feelings. Seriously, many congratulations, Virtuella, well done!

I feel generous today, so yes, no hard feelings. I'm very relieved to hear that. ;-) And your story was indeed dead funny.
