OK, there's a little bit of a story behind this one. Last May, my husband and I went down to Freeport as a pilgrimage to the LL Bean Flagship store. I was doing a re-read of Pandemonium's 'Elendilmir' on my Sony Reader while we were heading down there, and saw a fly-casting demonstration going on and thought of her characters - and much later in the evening, after a bit of wine had been consumed, we were driving back to our hotel listening to satellite radio. Now, satellite radio will display song titles for you, and they started playing a song called 'La Vie Dansante.'
As I said, I'd been reading fic, and so my brain went there and I started giggling like an immature pre-teen.
So. It'll likely just be a little side detail rather than anything big and important in a story - but I'm looking for a name for a house of ill-repute that'd mean something like 'The Dancing Dick.' Preferably in Quenya, because that'd just make it funnier (to me, anyway).

My own attempts at Quenya would be laughable. Pixellated Fëanor has some very usable vocabulary. I just spent five minutes chuckling at his expense. Otherwise I would go for "The Halls of Mating", but Mandos might not like it and it would not translate into Quenya...

OMG!! The rhyming in English came up at once, but I had forgotten that bit of your essay. Some subconscious connection there?? Perhaps something is telling me to have a rest from this obsession... ;D

Well, that single compound name rolls rather trippingly off the tongue, so I'll likely use that. Thanks, Darth!
*snickers* Bad Elvish porn... *snickers more*

Well, I was always annoyed there was not a Vala/Valië responsible for those aspects of life (like Aphrodite). Just imagine the... hrmm, sex rituals incorporated to LACE.
The title is great, I'm sure there must be a story behind it. I am just trying to remember it...

Thanks, Pandë. Now I'm imagining Ricky Martin singing about a dancing wang. That's just the thing to help me concentrate on my genfic.

"livinlä vidä locä" - perhaps it could pass by Quenya if Ricky said it fast??!! After all, Quenya and Spanish have almost the same phonetics - about the only similarity, sadly...
*** please don't throw anything at me *** ;D
