LMAO!! And thus an esoteric argument about elven economics turns into a priceless argument for slash and prostitution in Middle-earth. Thank you Ignoblebard!!
Thanks Elfscribe. Everyone else always argues the subject much more eloquently than I, so I went for the humor. Some people seem to miss the point that if the Elves don't farm they would have to trade for what they need.
I have to credit Olorime for this one though. I mentioned the HASA discussion and she opined the Elves might be trading on their general gorgeousness to get by. How could I disagree? lol
Oh, I love it! I'm SO glad that I read this AFTER I had already posted my Mirkwood portion in the earlier thread. Otherwise I'm not sure I would have been able to post without laughing too much.
Thanks Erulisse. I'm enjoying your comments in the other thread. This same discussion comes up from time to time but no one ever thinks of the obvious solution.
What a brilliant idea, IgnobleBard - are you going to post it to that HASA thread?
To the discussion thread? Is that even allowed?
Your scheme not only fixes the Mirkwood finances, but is kind to the forest ecology, and all non-earning elves can just spend their days prancing about the woods, climbing trees and singing at the stars, as they are meant too...
Thank goodness their royals are willing to make the sacrifice so their subjects can enjoy themselves, eh?
I do hope you plan to post this at HASA and put it up for review.
Ha! That will keep the story a well kept secret. lol
And thanks for the pickie. I'll fix it.
This great!
Thanks Samtyr.
